Biography

Nick Smith is the Project Director for the Molten Chloride Reactor Experiment (MCRE) at INL. In this role, he leads a team of scientists and engineers responsible for producing fuel for MCRE, installing the reactor at INL, operating the critical experiment, and decommissioning the system after testing is complete. Smith was previously the Deputy Director for the National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) at INL where he established multiple large-scale R&D infrastructure projects.
