Biography

Ed Matteo is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in the Dept. of Nuclear Waste Disposal Research and Analysis. His broad research interests lie in understanding fluid-mineral interfaces, as well as transport and coupled chemo-mechanics in porous media, especially with applications to repository design and engineered barrier system design and evaluation. His current work includes analyses for the disposition of Advanced Reactor SNF, as well as evaluation of engineered barrier systems in subsurface environments.
