Biography

I'm a Nuclear Physics researcher with a background in reactor physics at Rolls Royce submarines. Once I was aware of the huge challenge that legacy nuclear waste presented, I hunted for research projects which centred around finding novel solutions to this enormous task. This led me to my current work with Bristol and Kyoto University as well as with the Tokyo Institute of Technology wherein we intend to make use of the valuable radioisotopes trapped inside graphite waste. By incorporating C14 and T3 into diamond semiconductors, the radioactivity released can be harnessed to produce reliable long-life power.
