Biography

Mr François Marsal has started his carreer in 2006 at IRSN, where he is currently Deputy Head of the Department for Radioactive Waste and Transfers in the Geosphere. He is leader of the ROUTES work package, one of the 17 technical WPs being conducted as part of the European Joint Programme on Radioactive Waste Management (EURAD). ROUTES’ objectives are to provide a framework for European Union’s Member States (MS) to share methodologies, experiences and knowledge in situations in which a waste management strategy is difficult to define. He holds two Master's degrees in Chemistry and Public Affairs and has been involved in the different public debates on RWM in France.
