Shaun is a 4th year PhD student at the University of Southampton, UK. His work investigates the cleanup of Difficult-to-Measure radionuclides through electrokinetic remediation, a technique in which electrical currents are used to migrate contaminants towards particular areas of a material. Shaun graduated with an MSci Geology degree from the University of Southampton in 2020, having completed a research project looking into adsorption capacities of technetium for various derivatives of the UiO-66 metal-organic framework for use in groundwater remediation.
