Biography

Mr. Anthony Abrahao is a Research Scientist at the Florida International University’s Applied Research Center in Miami; where he manages the Applied Robotics Laboratory overseeing, mentoring and collaborating with several projects funded by DOE-EM, DOE-NETL, and NSF, including the development of: . robotic crawlers and inspection tools for pipelines and double-shell tanks, . autonomous mobile platform for infrastructure mapping using LiDAR, . propelled wall crawler for characterization and repair of concrete structures, and . instrumentation for erosion detection and nondestructive evaluation. Mr. Abrahao received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlandia in Brazil. Currently, he is also a PhD candidate at the Mechanical Engineering Department at Florida International
