Biography

Joseph serves as a Research Scientist for the Florida International University’s Applied Research Center. His primary focus areas are related to development, testing, evaluation and deployment of D&D technologies in support of the Center’s DOE-EM Cooperative Agreement. He also serves as the ASTM International E10.03 Subcommittee Chairman on Radiological Protection for Decontamination and Decommissioning of Nuclear Facilities and Components, responsible for developing, maintaining, and promulgating uniform testing protocols and performance standards in this area. He is a retired Marine Corps Officer, privileged to command organizations across the globe, to include Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, Japan, Korea, and South and Central America.
