Biography

Dr. Jaeyun Moon is an associate professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department at the UNLV. Before she obtained her Ph.D. degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2014, she worked for Samsung Electronics as a senior engineer/manager working on DRAM process development and data analysis. At the UNLV, she is a principal investigator of ‘Energy and Environmental Materials Laboratory (EEML)’, focusing on organic-inorganic composites and nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications. Her research interests include nano-scaled adsorbents and catalysts development for groundwater treatments at nuclear and industrial sites and inorganic nanowires - polymer composites and nanostructure engineering for thermal energy conversion.
