Tom Peake is an Environmental Scientist with the Environmental Protection Agency. He is the Director for the Center for Waste Management and Regulations in the Office of Air and Radiation. The group’s focus is on the safe management of radioactive waste and general radiation protection issues, including oversight of the DOE Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, generic SNF radioactive waste disposal standards development and Clean Air Act radiation National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPs). Tom worked on the original WIPP certification and the subsequent re-certifications.
