Los Alamos National Laboratory
Dr. Stauffer is a research scientist in the Computational Earth Science group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He received his PhD in 1999 from the University of California, Santa Cruz in hydrogeology. He is currently LANL PI for DOE-NE SFWD (Salt Repository Science) implementing the first heated experiments in salt since the early 1990s.He is also a consultant on the PA/CA LANL’s MDA G LLW facility. Dr. Stauffer became a WM PAC member in 2021. In 2023 started as Program Manager for Environmental Management, SPO-Civilian Nuclear Programs at LANL.
