Biography

Patrick Frias works within DOE’s Office of Nuclear Safety providing program/project management and oversight of various DOE standards/handbooks to include nuclear air cleaning, natural phenomena hazards, and general DOE nuclear safety policy. He also provides program/project management of the Nuclear Safety Research and Development Program designed to advance nuclear safety science and technology. Total of 24 years’ experience to include policy development, SSC engineering design consulting and construction management and overall project management with prior positions in engineering design consulting and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and now presently with the USDOE. Current P.E. Registration (Virginia and Georgia), B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park.
