Biography

Jan Preston is a Fluor Senior Director for Operations. Her nuclear background includes weapons RD&T; reactor operational readiness; PRA for weapons production/deployment; D&D; and ESH&Q management. Jan supported the NRC’s post-TMI human factors and emergency response improvements, and was an Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards Fellow. As Special Scientific Advisor for Nuclear Surety in the Pentagon, Jan led establishment of PRA capability for nuclear weapons deployment. At the DNFSB, she supported nuclear weapons program oversight and led implementation of the ISMS Recommendation. Before joining Fluor, Jan was Deputy Laboratory Director at the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center for DHS.
