Biography

Julie Minton-Hughes, the Director Nuclear Safety. Training, and Engineering at the Portsmouth D&D Project, has over 30 years of experience in radioactive waste management, nuclear facility operations, nuclear safety and safety basis development, criticality safety, and engineering. Prior to joining the Portsmouth D&D Project, Ms. Minton-Hughes was at Los Alamos National Laboratory where she held a number of engineering and operations roles for both N3B and LANS. She is chair of the EFCOG Engineering Practices Subgroup. Ms. Minton-Hughes has a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico and is a registered Project Management Professional.
