Brian Vance became Hanford Site Manager in 2019 after serving as Office of River Protection Manager since 2017. He oversees a $2.5B budget and cleanup of the 580-sq mile site, including groundwater remediation; waste and facilities decontamination and disposal; the Tank Farms project, and the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant project. Brian has 30+ years of nuclear industry experience, including serving as Project Director for CH2M Hill’s 300-296 Soil Removal Project. Brian is a retired Navy nuclear submarine officer with a BS in Meteorology from Penn State University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
