Biography

Dr. Eid earned Ph.D. from MIT. He is an NRC staff since March 1991 and currently a Senior Level (SLS) Advisor. Before joining the NRC, Dr. Eid conducted research and/or taught at: MIT, University of Bonn, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, and Carnegie Institution of Washington. In his present position, Dr. Eid key activities include: technical/policy analysis; risk analysis and safety reviews, development of models/codes for decommissioning, assessment of new technologies, and waste management performance assessment. He is a key contributor to development of NRC criteria for decommissioning and recipient of NRC meritorious awards, and ANS member.
