Biography

Tom Carver is Director of the Office of Public Radiation Protection within the DOE Office of Environmental Protection and Environmental Safety and Health Reporting organization. Tom has 37 years’ experience in radiation protection which included support to NRC, DOE and Agreement State facilities. He joined DOE in 2011 as Environmental Health Physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2015 he joined the Carlsbad Field Office TRU Waste Program and in 2022 joined Headquarters in his current position. His undergraduate degrees include Health Physics and Management. He also has a master’s degree in Environmental Health from East Tennessee State University
