Biography

A consultant focussing on nuclear decommissioning, waste management, clean up projects and strategies. After an early career in the Army he joined BNFL at Sellafield in 1980. His nuclear career has included commissioning the Fuel Handling Plant and leading plant engineering for the Magnox Reprocessing Plant. The majority of career has been in nuclear decommissioning including heading up the Decommissioning Operating Unit at Sellafield and building it up from a few projects to a major operation including the first implementation of EV project management techniques at Sellafield. Recent projects have included reactor decommissioning, near surface disposal, waste lifecycle strategy site clean up strategies.
