Mark Schanfein has over 40 years’ experience in nonproliferation including a 20-year career at LANL in weapon and nonproliferation programs. He was a technical expert on the ground in the DPRK during disablement activities resulting from the 6-Party Talks. He has previously worked at PNNL and LLNL. Mark worked at the IAEA, 4 years as a safeguards inspector and 4 years as the Head for Unattended Monitoring Systems, installing autonomous systems in nuclear facilities worldwide. His current focus is on emerging technologies with an interest in digital twins, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Mark is currently President of the INMM.
