Biography

Ashley Forbes is the Deputy Director of the Office of Waste's Radioactive Materials Division at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. In this role, Ms. Forbes oversees licensing and permitting programs associated with radioactive materials and underground injection control (UIC) activities in Texas. Specific programs include the licensing and regulation of storage, processing, and disposal of low-level radioactive waste and by-product material waste; in-situ uranium mining; and the regulation of Class I, III, IV and V UIC wells. Ms. Forbes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource & Environmental Studies, Geography, from Texas State University.
