Biography

Sébastien Farin coordinates a wide range of operations: communications & dialogue with society at large, knowledge use (KM, intellectual property, memory keeping), transformation and innovation, humanities and social sciences, and international relations. Sébastien has been involved in how science and society interact for more than 20 years, in fields with significant technical, political and social impacts : scientific mediation, long-term management of radioactive waste, primarily for the Cigéo project, and industrial risks Since early 2025, he is acting director of the Cigeo programm, the French deep geological repository project.
