Biography

Jesse Sloane is the Executive VP of Engineering at Deep Isolation, providing innovative solutions for the disposal of spent nuclear fuel and high-level waste. With his background as a Nuclear Trained Officer with the US Navy specializing in spent fuel handling operations, he works with Deep Isolation’s strategic partners in the development of integrated waste management systems for the safe storage, transport, and disposal of nuclear waste. Mr. Sloane serves as the Principal Investigator for multiple projects funded through the DOE, including the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). This work is focused on the development of disposal systems for advanced reactor and reprocessing waste forms.
