Biography

As an Associate Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy, Kimberly Petry leads the development and implementation of policies and programs that advance the nation's responsible management of spent nuclear fuel and high-level waste. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland College Park, and a master’s in environmental science and policy from Johns Hopkins. Her mission is to be a global champion for the mitigation of climate change for the benefit of the public and the planet.
