Biography

Rebecca Casper is serving her third term as Mayor of the City of Idaho Falls, a city of 70,000 on the banks of Idaho’s Snake River. IF is home to INL, the Idaho Clean-up Project and NRF. The city runs 6 enterprise funds/utilities with an annual budget of approximately $350M. Mayor Casper earned graduate degrees from BYU and UC Berkeley. Nationally, the Mayor serves as Vice Chair for the Energy Communities Alliance—advocating for environmental clean-up and new nuclear development. Internationally, she is a founding member of the Nuclear Communities Global Partnership. She is a long-time member of Idaho's LINE Commission advocating for all of Idaho's nuclear interests
