Biography

Shaheen Azim Dewji is an Assistant Professor in the Nuclear and Radiological Engineering and Medical Physics Programs at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior, she was faculty at Texas A&M University and a Research Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She received her B.Sc. in Physics from the University of British Columbia and M.S./Ph.D. in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering from Georgia Tech. Dewji’s research focuses on radiation protection. Detection, and shielding applications in nuclear energy, security, and medicine. She is a member of the ANS and HPS Board of Directors, ICRP, NCRP, and National Academies’ Nuclear and Radiation Studies Board.
