Andrea Kozlowski graduated in Production and Energy Management (B.Sc.) and an European Master in Nuclear Applications (M.Sc., both Germany). After that, she started working on her PhD at Strathclyde University in Glasgow (Scotland) with an estimated graduation in 2024. During her studies, she worked on simulating for radiation safety purposes (activation in medical LINACs, air activation during LHC Run 2, shielding effects of lead and cast iron shields) and went into practical approaches with her PhD, focussing on the chemical, mechanical, and physical properties of sustainable substitutes for PFA in cement for encapsulation of low-level waste.
