Biography

Mr. John Heaton graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Mr. Heaton practiced for more than 35 years. He was elected to New Mexico House, where he served for 14 years. During that period, he chaired the Radioactive and Hazardous Committee and Investment Oversight Committee. Nationally, he chaired the National Conference of State Legislators Energy Committee and several working groups. After the legislature, he has remained very active working for Carlsbad where he chaired the Nuclear Task Force, and is Chairman of the Eddy-Lea Energy Alliance that is developing the Holtec HI-STORE CISF and other projects.
