Biography

Phyllis Britt has been a member of the SRS CAB for four years, serving as chair of the Facilities Disposition and Site Remediation Committee and now as chair of the CAB. Before retirement, she was a school teacher and then a reporter/editor of The Star newspaper. First introduced to the CAB as a reporter covering its meetings, she applied to the CAB with the idea that a non-technical person might be able to communicate the Board’s missions and activities to the general public in a way that highly technical representatives may not. She is pleased to represent the Aiken area on the SRS CAB and honored to serve as chair.
