Biography

Syed is the current USEPA Remedial Project Manager (RPM) that provides federal oversight over the Mound/Fernald site’s cleanup activities. Syed has been with EPA for over 28 years and previously served in Region 2 office in NYC and currently serves at the Region 5 office in Chicago. Syed took over as the Mound/Fernald RPM in January 2022. He is also serving as an RPM for the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton since 2016. Prior to being an RPM, Syed served as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control expert reviewer for Region 2 in Edison, NJ for seven years.
