Biography

Emerald Laija is an Environmental Scientist who assists in Superfund federal cleanups of hazardous waste sites as the Deputy Director of the EPA Federal Facility Restoration and Reuse Office (FFRRO) in Washington, DC. She provides leadership on key initiatives and critical projects, conducts interagency and internal engagement, serves as a senior official who represents the office, leads training development, and supports the Office Director in carrying out the duties and responsibilities associated with the Superfund Federal Facilities Program at EPA. She earned a Master’s Degree focused in Environmental Studies.
