Biography

Ty Blackford is the President and Program Manager of the Idaho Environmental Coalition with responsibility for environmental remediation and nuclear operations for the Idaho Cleanup Project. Ty has over 30 years of experience leading/managing large and complex DOE cleanup and nuclear operations programs. His experience includes leading projects across diverse portfolios and achieving cleanup end states, including waste and fuel management, transportation, decommissioning and demolition, construction, tank waste operations and closures, groundwater management, remediation, engineering, and high hazard nuclear facility operations management. Beyond Idaho, Ty has experience at several DOE sites including, Savannah River, Hanford, and Oak Ridge as well as international experience.
