Biography

Derek Wilson is the Chief Operating Officer at the NWMO. He has been with the NWMO for the past 15 years and is responsible for the delivery of Adaptive Phased Management, Canada’s safe, long-term management solution for used nuclear fuel. He is also responsible for the development and execution of a collaborative contracting model for the design, construction, and commissioning of the deep geological repository. Derek is a mining engineer with 30 years' experience in the nuclear, mining, and heavy construction industries, primarily in project and senior management roles.
