Christelle DECANIS trained as a chemical engineer in Montpellier in south of France. She is specialized in the environment and dedicated processes. After graduated in 2002, she joined the French Atomic Energy Commission. Her early career focused on waste management. She was given the opportunity to work on key decommissioning program such as the Aladin clean-up project. She then moved on to larger scale waste management projects in operational facilities. Christelle was also involved in an innovative program dedicated to tritiated waste management. She worked as a Decommissioning Specialist in the Decommissioning and Environmental Remediation Section of the IAEA. She is currently involved in key decommissioning projects of the CEA in France.
