Biography

Christophe Bruggeman (1976) (M) (PhD in Bio-Engineering Science) is the deputy director-general of SCK CEN, the Belgian Nuclear Research Center. He has over 25 years of experience in radioactive waste management and decommissioning, and has been responsible for the administrative, financial and scientific coordination of the RD&D related to radioactive waste management in both domestic and international projects. He is a guest professor at the Université de Liège and the Catholic University of Leuven. He also acts as the current chair of EURADScience, the European network of research organisations on radioactive waste management.
