California Mathematics Council
Hilda Wright has dedicated the past 30 years to education as a bilingual aide, math teacher, math coach, math specialist, and a math coordinator. Hilda is a member of CMC, NCTM, and TODOS-Mathematics for All. She is the current State President Elect for the California Mathematics Council and serves on the Professional Learning committee. She serves the community of Kern County as a math coordinator and an adjunct faculty member at CSUB. She led the development of Kern County Superintendent of School Math Multilingual Toolkit to support both language and mathematics. She cares about both students and adults believing in their ability to do math and see themselves as mathematicians. She focuses on the beauty of math to include problem solving, reasoning, and collaboration as part of our lives. She cares deeply about humanizing and building strong identities where every learner has access and equitable opportunities to be a mathematician. She finds joy in serving at the local, state and national levels and hopes to bring a positive energy to the mathematics community, the human community.
