Biography

Dr. Smith is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine and the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed ophthalmology residency at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and a clinical fellowship in Glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He has previously held appointments the Associate Director of Research at the King Khaled Eye Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cole Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic, and Director of the Glaucoma Service and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University's Harkness Eye Institute. He is currently serving as a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Chair of the Eye Institute of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
