Biography

Matthew D. Marraffino is a Senior Research Psychologist in the STRIKE Lab at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL. He received his Ph.D. in Human Factors and Experimental Psychology at the University of Central Florida. For almost 10 years, Dr. Marraffino has researched how to apply cognitive theories of learning (e.g., Cognitive Load Theory and Embodied Cognition) to guide the design of trainers using state-of-the-art technology including adaptive training, tablet-based computers, and virtual and augmented reality.
