Biography

Jason LaForest is a Product Support Specialist Representative for Caterpillar Global Mining based in Tucson, Arizona. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mine Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado. Jason’s expertise is in optimizing the efficiency of Greenfield and Brownfield expansions through sensitivity analysis of equipment selection and autonomous solutions to maximize production and minimize cost per ton. He has channeled these skills to deliver training in performance and economic modeling across the globe and has implemented innovative technology in both surface and underground.
