Biography

Elizabeth Deyett, is the Bioinformatics & Data Science Team Lead at Allonnia LLC, with over 12 years of experience in microbial bioinformatics. She leads a cross-functional team focused on developing containerized Nextflow pipelines for high-throughput bacterial and fungal genomics. Leveraging her data strategy training from UC Berkeley, Dr. Deyett has implemented AWS-based workflows that support company-wide data integration, governance, and reproducibility. She leads the creation and development of a hybrid wet-lab/dry-lab biobank that links microbial images, curated metadata, and genome sequences to a digital inventory mapped to Allonnia’s physical strain collection, enabling real-time sample tracking and analysis. Today, she will share insights from the fungal biobank and its applications in bioremediation.
