Vikramaditya Yadav is an Associate Professor of Chemical & Biological Engineering and Founding Director of the Master of Engineering Leadership in Sustainable Process Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He leads one of Canada’s most innovative and diversified research group in synthetic biology and biotechnology, and he has made significant contributions to environmental engineering, clean manufacturing, and advancing the circular economy. He is also a serial cleantech entrepreneur and has co-founded three startups – Metabolik Technologies (water), Tersa Earth Innovations (mining and metals), and Tydra Labs (sustainable textiles). He also oversees technical diligence and engineering scale-up at MAKS Global Repairs, a climate-tech business and financial advisory firm that specializes in building and advising transformative companies that deliver solutions for hard-to-abate sectors such as construction, transportation, energy, mining, materials, water and manufacturing. He is one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 and Business in Vancouver's Top 40 Leaders Under 40, and he has received numerous accolades for his research and teaching.
