Biography

Kevin Cooper serves as the Principal Investigator for the National Electric Vehicle Consortium (NEVC) and for Project Vision, an NSF Mentoring Initiative. In addition, Dr. Cooper is the Co-PI on 2 ATE Centers, the CREATE Energy NSF ATE National Center and Center for Aviation and Automotive Technological Education (CA2VES). Prior to these roles, Dr. Cooper held a variety of administrative positions at Indian River State College (IRSC), successfully launched and exited a large-scale corporate spinoff, and worked as a R&D engineer in the semiconductor industry. Dr. Cooper holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and is responsible for over 100 patents/papers in a wide breadth of STEM fields
