UKAEA
I am Mechanical Group Leader at the UK Atomic Energy Authority where I work in the Remote Applications in Challenging Environments (RACE) business unit. UKAEA is the UK national lab for fusion research and at RACE we specialise in robotics and remote handling technology for use in nuclear and other hazardous environments. Since 2016, I have been the Lead Engineer for the Active Cells project, part of the European Spallation Source currently under construction in Sweden. I have also been involved major fusion programmes such as ITER, DEMO and STEP. Prior to that I worked at Rolls-Royce Submarines designing reactor cores for the UK's nuclear-powered submarines.
