Biography

Mr. Stauffer has been the lead cyber threat engineer at Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management (EM) headquarters for a nearly a decade. He researches new threats, monitors the enterprise network for signs of malicious activity and assists in cyber incident response. Additionally, he leads efforts to develop new capabilities for deployment across the enterprise network, including modern phishing resistant multi-factor authentication efforts, endpoint and data center full disk encryption, and to expand continuous monitoring tools across the enterprise to reduce agency threat surface and increase visibility into the threat posture of the network to improve cyber response capabilities.
