Biography

Laura Hronec is the cultural resources program manager at the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration. Laura originally started her archaeological career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, attending the University of Pittsburgh and working for a private Cultural Resources Management firm for several years before deciding to move west. Graduate school brought her to New Mexico, attending and graduating from Eastern New Mexico University. Laura’s initial archaeological interest was geoarchaeology, however through her employment in federal civilian service, it has since shifted to the implementation of cultural resource law.
