Biography

Christof Schroefl has been a senior researcher focusing on morphological characterization, instrumented analytics and construction chemicals at the Institute of Construction Materials at Technische Universitaet Dresden (Germany) since 2010. Right before, he had earned his Dr. rer. nat. degree in chemistry at Technical University of Munich (Germany) on polycarboxylate-based superplasticizers for ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). Research topics include the working mechanisms of chemical admixtures in and durability issues of high-performance cement-based materials as well as chemical aspects of mineral-based composites.
