Biography

Karine Glenn is Director, Impact Assessment at the NWMO where she has, for the last two years, led the development of Canada’s Integrated Strategy for Radioactive. Prior to joining the NWMO in 2020, she worked at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) from 2007 and held a number of positions of growing responsibility, including Director, Wastes and Decommissioning. Karine also has expertise in the transportation of radioactive materials, including as a Package Engineer with MDS Nordion. She has represented Canada at the IAEA and the NEA. She served as vice-chair of the CSA Committees on Radioactive Waste and on Decommissioning.
