Biography

Jean-Michel BOSGIRAUD (MS Mechanical Engineering and MS Petroleum Engineering) is the Technical R&D Programme Manager at ANDRA's Engineering Dept. He has been working for more than 24 years with this (French) WMO. His experience in Andra includes siting and construction activities (as former construction manager of the Bure URL), and technical development, focused on waste containers qualification, containers transfer and emplacement techniques as well as excavation methodologies or seal construction. His topic of the day is about the safety issues linked to future mining operations in Cigéo and about the field test planned in the Bure URL related to the dismantling of concrete segment rings in previously built tunnels.
