Biography

David CLAUDEL is a safety engineer, specialized in fire safety (basis nuclear installation). He has been working at Andra for more than 20 years. He began to work on fire safety in 2004 for DGR project. During industrial design studies, he was the safety referent including fire risk. He participated in the writing of many reports for Cigeo: 2005 feasibility, 2009 first report on safety options, 2016 safety options of Cigeo, 2023 application for the construction license. Since 2011, he has managed the redaction of many fire standards: for underground facilities, creating fire curves, fire simulation with FDS code, thermal transfer simulation…
