US DOE ORP
Albert A. Kruger is the Glass Scientist for the Department of Energy, Office of River Protection in Richland, Washington. He comes to the DOE with a diverse background in the application of novel methods to measurement techniques. In waste disposal over the last 3 decades, Albert has been responsible for the invention and/or application of computer-tomography ultrasonic techniques for physical properties, electrochemical measurement systems for ionic mobility, and fiber optic measurement devices for waste glass melts and measurements of solid state properties. He holds numerous patents in the area of functionalization of glass surfaces, ranging from fiber optics to automotive
