Biography

Alexander Abboud earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2009, and earned his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Utah in 2015. He started as a post-doctoral researcher at Idaho National Laboratory in 2015, and is now a staff scientist at INL in the Materials Science and Engineering Department. Dr. Abboud specializes in multiphase computational fluid dynamics modeling with experience in a variety of systems including waste glass vitrification, spent nuclear fuel storage, fluidized beds and additive manufacturing.
