Biography

Dr. Siegfried is a Principal Scientist at the Savannah River National Laboratory. He received his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Purdue University where he worked to develop an understanding of the shape guiding processes in electrocrystallization. He joined the SRNL in 2010 and spent eight years conducting research into the collection and analysis of airborne particulates via electrostatic precipitation and was the team leader of the Microanalysis Laboratory. Since joining the Environmental Science Section, Dr. Siegfried’s has provided technical support for the Defense Waste Processing Facility on projects related to the destruction of organic species of concern to the Savannah River Site tank farms.
